the second release we do with french artists upwellings aka vincent raude who is professor of modern art at the academy of brest and has been recording music since 1996. his ep comprised two tracks. a-side >dubbin at the strobe< feat. michael zerang shows a nice interaction of drums and sounds developing a profound deep mood. drum parts were recorded in chicago by michael zerang, a real jazz legend who played a lot with peter brötzmann and joe mcphee, hamid drake. the flip side >lighthouse dub< has the aura of an place which is extremely isolated. the sound is at times extremely pulled back and melancholic and holds a sentiment that reminds us a bit of joy divisions >we are the young men<. the track undergoes a transformation beatwise when going more uptempo.

max guld was a post-punk musician from glostrup, denmark one of the western suburbs of copenhagen. in 1983 he formed a band called den forspildte elite with a friend from high school taking inspiration from experimental art punks the residents. from the beginning of 1984 to the beginning of 1985, he recorded a solo album in his 30 square meter apartment. the result was a 40 minute cassette titled for enden af corridoren released in 1985 on hub records that was limited to 100 copies.

a couple years ago developer created a modularz sub label named - developer archive - the idea was to slowly release tracks taken from his personal collection and specifically made for his live dj sets. through developer archive these tracks are now being released in a limited amount and the chosen selection are the ones that developer felt made the largest impact in clubs and venues around the world.

the fx mchn has unplugged itself from the london housing trust offices just long enough to run off these three documents for narrow gauge. art 2 mouse starts with a gritty, little drum box punching way above its weight before the heavy machinery rolls in for reinforcement. mono life slows the tempo with a close-up shot of the intricate interlocking cogs of an fx mchn track. on the flip side we move to a wider-screen format for a helicopter ride over the oil-drum beats and tribal chants of no place to go .
